After a six year interplanetary voyage and a 22 day coast towards Saturns largest and aptly named Moon, Titan, the Huygens lander began its firey descent. Four minutes into reentry the landers 8.5 meter (28ft) parachute deployed and a further two hours later the probe would touch down on Titans surface. This would be the first time humanity would both land on a body in the outer solar system, as well as on the surface of a Moon that wasn't ours. For the next 3 hours the probe would beam back its findings of the alien Moon to Cassini before all communication was lost. Now, Huygens sits dead on an alien landscape, in immortal peace.
